Spring is HERE!!!!!

Spring is FINALLY HERE!!! And I couldn't be more excited!!! I know...I'm a little extra with my exclamation points lol, but seriously, this past winter was extremely long and the coldest in my opinion I know all the people here on the East coast can relate. If we go back to my last post, it was exactly a year ago. I remember with exactitude because of the Easter festivities. This year I went for a more relaxed look because we had just a little family lunch at my sister's house.

Although it was just lunch at my sister's I still wanted to look cute. The basic skinny blue jeans, white T and a leather jacket with tan ankle suede booties. My hair was put high on a ponytail and I went for winged black eyeliner, mascara and bright lips. The lipstick I used was "Maybelline 905 in Brazen Berry" I love love LOVE the purple undertone on this lipstick!!! My sister loved it so much she had to go the next day and get one for herself. It's perfect for this time of the year.

Putting fashion and makeup aside, I couldn't go and say bye before giving someone a bust of motivation :)...I see a lot of people going crazy buying always the latest fashion items, the newest devices out there or even getting the new Starbucks beverage on the menu and though there is nothing wrong with none of that, I do think that sometimes we lose sight of what's really important. Family, love, personal goals, and simply living the moment. BEING HAPPY. Don't let the superficial take your eyes from what's here and now! What you see on Instagram or Facebook posts is always the very best from people but the fact is that everyone is going through something, everyone has been through trouble, we all have struggles of some sort but its up to each of us how we decide to live our everyday life. I chose to enjoy life on the bright and cloudy days.

Well, I hope you come back to check out more posts I have in mind. I just recently got married (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) so I have a lot to write about :)

Brighter days are coming!!!

Hello there!!! 

Today I'm sharing some outfit ideas, but not only that...few thoughts as well. My younger sister, beautiful niece and I are enjoying this springy weather, bright colors and breezy fabrics. My little niece is wearing a neon pink dress paired with a denim jacket, flats and mustache accessories (she loves those). My sister's outfit consists of a low high see-through skirt, denim shirt, statement necklace and cut out buckle booties. I am wearing a bright pink skirt, loose white blouse and cut out ankle booties as well with a gold watch. 

We are really embracing every season, and when I say season I'm not only talking about the weather changes. But I'm also talking about what takes place in life. 

If this is the first time you click on my blog or somehow you ended up here by randomly going through social media searches and now you find yourself reading this...just know that you are uniquely made, wonderful in every area, beautiful inside and out, loved and blessed more than you can imagined.

We might not know the reason of many situations in our lives but everything you've gone through has made you the person you are today. All the highs and lows in your life have gotten you to where you are today. There is beauty even in the hardships of life. We gotta know that God is working behind the scenes moving pieces for us, adding, removing or rearranging things and people in our favor. It might not make sense today but one day will.

I hope I can motivate someone to look up and know that brighter days ARE coming. Just like the leafs of the trees bloom, they also dry and fall as the seasons pass but the tree will remain standing and the tree will flourish again. Don't give up!

New Season, New Chapter

Its been quite a while since I last posted anything in this blog. I want to get into the habit of posting something new every single week because this is something that I truly enjoy. Hopefully soon I can dedicate more time and energy...but for now I'll do my best to update it often. Fingers crossed, I post every week :)

Since my last post (November 9th of 2013) a few things have changed, things that I'll later share details of on this blog or a separate one designed only for that purpose. Its regarding a very special person I made friends with, and greater, a beautiful bond and amazing connection. He's now become my best friend, my better half, my partner in crime, my love, my blessing from God, my reason to smile...my boyfriend!!! Its crazy how I've always wanted to create a blog and a YouTube channel and one of his hobbies is photography. Without me ever telling him about this little passion that I have, he discovered my "secret" blog one night and ever since then he's been pushing me to pick it up and start it again. 

So here is to a new chapter in my life along side my handsome guy, with his passion for photography and my heart for all things fashion and beauty, I think you'll be seeing more of this blog and even a YouTube channel in the near future :D

And remember to always enjoy your journey doesn't matter the circumstances!

You can never go wrong with BLACK

Have you ever had one of those days where you just don't feel like looking through your closet to find a nice outfit? A day where you just have no idea what to wear and you are in a hurry? 

Well, wearing ALL BLACK never looks bad and most of the time looks great! Here I just wore a pair of thick leggings, a long V-neck shirt and my leather jacket. The wedge boots not only help break it out, but makes it a more interesting look!

This was a simple yet hopefully helpful reminder that wearing your simple and basics never goes wrong.

Bold Print and Statement Necklace

Don't be scared to experiment with prints, colors and shapes. You'll be surprised at how good your outfit turns out if you just try something a little bit out of your comfort zone.
My dress has a loud print BUT its black and white, so that allowed me to paired it with the pink necklace, and kept my hair and makeup to the minimum to let the dress shine. My sister in the contrary, she had a very simple and muted in color outfit so the big statement necklace made the outfit pop. Her shoes were kept on the same color family but the lipstick gave her a little splash of color.
So whatever your case is statement outfit, statement jewelry or both, try to mute something out to let only one thing shine. Its all about balance and finding what looks better even if its loud and bold.

Birthday Dinner!

 My sisters planed a small dinner with some of my friends to celebrate my 24th birthday. We went to Alma de Cuba in Philadelphia. Great food and the customer care was awesome in case you were wondering. 

I decided to wear something classy but cute at the same time. Since the dress had a high neckline I put my hair up in bun and wore red bold lipstick. Here are our outfits.
