You can never go wrong with BLACK

Have you ever had one of those days where you just don't feel like looking through your closet to find a nice outfit? A day where you just have no idea what to wear and you are in a hurry?

Well, wearing ALL BLACK never looks bad and most of the time looks great! Here I just wore a pair of thick leggings, a long V-neck shirt and my leather jacket. The wedge boots not only help break it out, but makes it a more interesting look!

This was a simple yet hopefully helpful reminder that wearing your simple and basics never goes wrong.

Have a great weekend

Gaby

Bold Print and Statement Necklace

Don't be scared to experiment with prints, colors and shapes. You'll be surprised at how good your outfit turns out if you just try something a little bit out of your comfort zone.
My dress has a loud print BUT its black and white, so that allowed me to paired it with the pink necklace, and kept my hair and makeup to the minimum to let the dress shine. My sister in the contrary, she had a very simple and muted in color outfit so the big statement necklace made the outfit pop. Her shoes were kept on the same color family but the lipstick gave her a little splash of color.
So whatever your case is statement outfit, statement jewelry or both, try to mute something out to let only one thing shine. Its all about balance and finding what looks better even if its loud and bold.

Hope it gave you some ideas
Talk to you next week,
Xoxo

Birthday Dinner!

My sisters planed a small dinner with some of my friends to celebrate my 24th birthday. We went to Alma de Cuba in Philadelphia. Great food and the customer care was awesome in case you were wondering.
I decided to wear something classy but cute at the same time. Since the dress had a high neckline I put my hair up in bun and wore red bold lipstick. Here are our outfits.

Enjoy your JOURNEY!
See you next week!

My Everyday Makeup Routine

 Hello there!
Today I decided to talk about the products that I use in a regular basis. This is my everyday look for when I don't want to wear a full face of makeup but still look fresh, awake and presentable.

1. I start by evening out my complexion with a BB cream. I'm loving the Maybelline Dream Fresh 8-in-1 beauty balm skin protector. This gives me a tiny bit of coverage, moisturizes my skin and it claims to do a whole lot of other things but the most important for me is that it has a 30 SPF.

2. Next, concealer, concealer, concealer hahaha. I'm currently loving the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer. It gives full coverage, has great consistency and blends really really easy. The only thing I would say is that it creases a little bit. But overall I really like it.

3. After all my liquids I set everything up with Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder. I have oily combination skin and I need something that is going to keep me matte all day. Although this pressed powder is not the best, it gets the job done for few hours. I have to keep retouching it through out the day. Not a big deal.

4. Bronzer. I put it on the halos of my cheeks to give a little color and dimension to my faces. Revlon PhotoReady is what I'm using at the moment and I love it, its matte and it has four different shades which gives me the option of a more settle or more dramatic look. Ain't nothing wrong with a little "sun-kissed" complexion haha.

5. Eyebrows in my opinion are one of THE most important things you need to keep on point. If you have your eyebrows nice and neat you can have no makeup on and still look put together. I have full eyebrows (thanks to my dad) and I love them but they can get really bushy if I don't maintain them. To fill them in, because I have a little bald spot, I've been using Clinique eyebrow powder for the longest time, maybe 5 or 6 years. I absolutely recommend it because it has a little bit of a thick texture which allows you to keep the hairs in place and I sometimes use it as eyeshadow to define my crease. Great product.

6. I curl my lashes and put on 2 to 3 coats of mascara. Maybelline The Colossal and The Falsies Volum' Express are two of my all time favorites. Eyebrows and lashes are my top priority. I just think they make you look good hahaha.

7. I completely forgot to put a picture of the blush I used, but its the Milani baked blush in Luminoso. I put just a tad bit on my brush to give a little luminosity and color to my cheeks. This is a really famous blush in the beauty community. It has a little shine to it without being to over the top, perfect for everyday.

8. And last but not least something to moisturize my lips and give a little color. Maybelline Baby Lips 15 in Cherry Me.

This routine takes me about 5 to 7 minutes no more than that. Real fast and simple. Below are pictures that I took with my polo shirt from work. Hope this was interesting and not too long and boring.

Thanks for reading,
xoxo

Amigos?

Slowly I've been trying to convince myself to start my own YouTube channel. To some, this idea might sound stupid and dumb, but its something that's been bugging me for over a year. I really enjoy watching videos and some of the girls I watch are so inspiring. I think that's the reason why I want to start something for myself. If this is something that I'm not meant to do then it's okay to at least try, but if I never do it I will never know what would've been if I just tried. So that is why I started this blog. At this point I'm almost sure nobody is reading this but I will continue just for the simple fact that I enjoy doing it.

So enough blabber...here is the outfit I wore last week. Pink Express skirt with a simple T, that inspired the title of this post haha I don't know I just thought this shirt was so cute, I got it at Marshall's. And to finish up my gladiator sandals are from ShoeDazzle.

(Don't mind me...I'm always being silly)

This is Karla, my younger sister ( my older sister will be introduced in another post haha). The three of us have very different styles but we like to borrow each other's clothes, if that makes sense lol.

I hope you enjoyed reading this and let me know in the comments what you think or any suggestions.

Gaby

Goodbye Summer!

Its sad to realize that summer is already coming to an end. Here in Jersey we've been having crazy bipolar weather. One day its chilly and the next its burning hell (literally lol). I decided that I was going to enjoy and take advantage of every little bit of what's rest of summer days and decided to pull one of the dresses that I haven't worn before.

I decided to wear this strapless dress that I got on sale from pacsun.com few weeks ago. I LOVED this Roxy dress when I first saw it on the website because of the two patterns put together and the colors (striped top and floral bottom)...So CUTE! Paired it with a long sleeve denim shirt because of the crazy weather going on and tied it up to accentuate the waist. For shoes I wore a pair of strappy heels that I got years ago at Marshall's, but to dress it down I also brought in my purse a simple pair of "Jesus sandals" (like my friends like to call them haha) just in case I got too tired of walking on this crazy thin heels. A white watch with gold rose detailing and a BaubleBar bracelet.

Please if you are reading this let me know what you think on a comment.
Xoxo,

Gaby
